I loved the old 2D racing arcade games (overhead & scrolling) - especially Monaco GP (1980 - Sega). Unfortunately, it seems that this game is gone for good since efforts to emulate it have proved difficult.

I remember playing other games similar (but not as good as) Monaco GP but do not remember their names. Does anyone know of any cool 2D racing games in MAME? Please assist. I also like Outrun but it is not 2D.

If I could get a nicely priced Monaco GP, I would buy it.
