Dover Hydraulic

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

I am not sure of the model number of this unit, but it is a two stop hydraulic. The problem is that it shoots past floor level at the top floor. The valve block is inside the tank, and had three adjusting hex screws which are labelled " stop " " slowdown " and " start " . This is the confusing bit, when the stop screw is adjusted out, the elevator does not reach full speed, but instead by passes continually. It takes off harshly, but does have a slow levelling speed. The shaft information has not been touched.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Justin

Thanks for the site Jon, After looking at some of the pictures there I've concluded this thing is an I-2 valve assembly. Unfortunately, as I am 12,000 kms away from their workshop, it makes things a bit difficult to contact them without the phone call costing my first born son. If anyone has some basic set up theories about an I-2, i'd be very grateful.

Cheers,

Justin
