Can't watch VCD after upgrade to WindowXP

Hi, I have a AMD Athlon Home PC, After I upgrade it to window XP, I found it has many problem, but one thing is I can't play VCD even though I downloaded the latest windows media player, I also had PowerDVD XP 4.0, but it doesn't work in play VCD, Could u please help me!

It's possible to view VCD on Windows Media Player. Go to "My Computer", click on your CD/DVD drive icon. Then you should see a string of icons, among which is one for MPEGAV (the usual format for VCD). Click on that, and you may find that it is listed as a .dat file. Open it with Windows Media Player. You should be able to see your VCD from there.
