Is a good price for an Agusta???greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
I saw this one eBay and wnated to ask the board what the thoughts were about the price on this bike should it check out. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2413838268&category=6719The miles are up there and I would think that was the thing it had going against it. Any thoughts on this?

I've done 30,000k (19,000 miles) on my 2001 model without any problems.

I think it is a good buy. I emailed it to a buddy who is looking to get into a sport bike.

Strange. It's listed as a 2000 but really looks like the 2002s. First reason is that the silver didn't come Stateside until 2002. The other really minor thing is that the 2002s come with that type of tank protector, whereas the 2000 and 2001 didn't.Of course, it could have been added after the fact, alone with the exhaust, and I think Cagiva has released some small variations of colors (like a red/silver bi-posto) before.
Looks like a good buy for a 2000 model.

As a package, it's a steal. Seems to be well taken care of. If you can get the receipts, you're all set.Cheers!!!

It is a 2000 with parts taken off an almost new silver 2002

The bike was originally red/silver. All of the bodywork was sold off in favor of carbon fiber replacements (to offset the cost). With the purchase of a practically new Diamante 2002 bike (147 miles) the carbon fiber bodywork was changed over to that bike and the silver was installed on the 2000 bike. The 2000 bike has had approximately 600 miles put on it.If you would like to see a picture of the 2002 bike here is one.

This picture was however taken before a set of BST carbon fiber wheels were installed, to further enhance the bikes performance.
