I have started piano lessons 6 yeras ago as an adult (32 years old). I have been persevering with great struggle. What do I expect to get out of it say after 10 years or more of studying? What sort of repertoire do I need to look forward to ? Thanks

If you are still a beginner, you should be able to play pieces on the level of Kabelevsky Sonatinas or Clementi Sonatinas. Pieces such as Fur Elise and Mozart's Easy Sonata are also in the line-up If you are an intermediate student, you should be able to play Beethoven Sonatas with no difficulty. Good Sonatas for Learning are the Apassionata, Moonlight, and Pathitique. Save the latter for when you advance. If you are an advance student, look for the Miscellaneous pieces of Mozart and the Etudes of Chopin and Liszt
