Looking for historical information about a house on 20th Street at Dolores

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

I live in an 1886 Victorian with the name "Lily" on 20th Street at Dolores in San Francisco. Firstly, I'm interested in accessing any history about this hparticular house and secondly, interested in general about the history of this Mission neighborhood block in the late 1800's. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

For information on the house, give the address. For information on the Mission District consult any of the Architectural (S F Architecture by Woodbridge) or Walking Guides (Margaret Patterson Doss).

Good luck in your research.

I lived at 695 Dolores Street which was at the North East corner of 20th and Dolores during the 1930s and 1940s. 695 was upstaires and my grandmother and aunt lived downstairs at 697. The corner of 20th and Dolores was where the 1906 fire stopped. That is our house was built after the fire, while south of 20th and east of Dolores were not burned.
