Tries to create invalid foldernames

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Anders Petersson's Freeware Forum : One Thread

Just installed NHB 2.0.21 on my WIn98SE system, and attemted to back up my F drive to my L drive. The backup set puts the source as F:\ and the destination as L:\, which should be ok (and it won't accept a change to just L:), but when run it attempts to create all folders on L as, e.g., L:\\Cyberkit or L:\\Adaptec which naturally fails.

Worse, NHB gives multiple, modal errors on every failed folder creation, and I can't dismiss them fast enough to shut it down, I have to use task manager to kill it.

Try the latest beta. Should work fine.

The latest beta is better, but still not right. It changes my destination from "L:\" to "L:", and then complains about it.

I can work around it by giving it a root folder, "L:\F Backup\", but it shouldn't have problems with normal dos drive syntax.
