I have a apex ad-703 player, which used to be able to play vcd. It suddently can't play vcd anymore, I tried lots vcd, but none of them working so I'm sure it's the player problem. It also can't play normal audio cd anymore which used to be fine also. But the strange thing is that the player can play DVD absolutely fine still. I wonder what makes it different of reading DVD or VCD. Can that be that I mistakely pressed on some button which disabled the VCD, or some unit is broken in player itself. Does someone know this kind of problem and can give me some helps on this? Thanks a lot.

Your player probably needs repair :-( DVD media uses a different kind of laser than audio CD and VCD, so probably it means that there is a problem with the laser used with audio CD, VCD, etc.
