Why do you need a solicitor. In my opion all the information needed to solve any dispute is contained on this site. I managed to settle 2 shortfall claims by being reasonable and using information found on this site. If you do not have the money to settle any claim, then what is the point in getting yourself into more debt with solictor costs, they don't come cheap.

Because despite earnest endeavours over a year or more, it is now going to County Court. Hence the need for a lawyer.

Jim

Don't know of any good solicitors in Birmingham area. You could try CAB or Solicitors Pro Bono Group who could provide a solicitor free of charge.

Alternatively post your questions here, we will do our best to assist.

Has a claim actually been served on you or have they just threatened.

Claim has been served. This is after 15 months of following all advice on this site to the letter.
