Hi all,

I am having problems with my Provideo PV 231 real-time capture card.

The card seems to be having sync problems between the video and sound. The sync is only slightly out but it's enough to be annoying.

The sync can sometimes get worse if I swap from tape to tape on my vcr (i'm dubbing from U-Matic, SVHS & VHS).

Has anyone experienced this type of problem with this card.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have read that using a Time Base Corrector can eliminate this problem on captures from VHS. I have seen this problem discussed on another video forum at http://network54.com/Hide/Forum/70438 if you want to post there. If you do post, please tell more about what you are trying to do - are you making VCD, SVCD or DVD? Are you doing anything unusual such as trying to record SVCD or VCD with higher bit rates than the standards allow? That kind of thing.
