I am trying to find information on David Wechsler's sojourn to the Menninger Foundation in 1948. How long was he there? Under what auspices? On-line brief histories of Wechsler don't mention his involvement with Menninger.

Why not contact the Menninger Foundation directly, using information at their link at http://www.menningerclinic.com/contact/index.html Menninger has a good library and extensive archives. There were also many stories about the Foundation in the Topeka newspapers, many of which are also online. Wechsler himself apparently didn't include any time at Menninger in his offical bios, as it's not listed in APA directories. If the work there was with children, it may have been specifically at the Southard School.
