I am an American living in Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia - former Soviet republic). I have been climbing for a few years but have little high altitude experience. I am very interested in climbing Lenin's Peak (a 7134 meter peak) next year. Have any of you climbed this? Any thoughts on what to do to prepare in the next 1-1.5 years to get ready.

sorry this is not an answer. I have a question for you... Do you know of any good sport climbing areas in Kyrgyzstan?
