Re: Lupine seeds The packet suggests to soak seeds overnight in warm water, then to sow seeds and refrigirate for four weeks, is this correct? Will seeds germinate in the fridge?

Yes they will, but in my experience, this step is often unnecessary. Are you talking about Russell Hybrids. If so, they germinate quite readily without putting them in the fridge (stratification). If you want to, it may help a little, but check them often. It definitely won't take 4 weeks. I did that once and they were so big when I took them out I couldn't plant them and they died. I have a great germination rate just planting them in pots indoors and watering them, etc. Also, it may not be necessary where you live, but there is something called legume inoculant(Rhizobium bacteria) which you can buy to put on the seeds when you plant them which helps them produce nitrogen to grow. If you can get a hold of some, it would help your seedlings, but if not, they should do okay. Email me if you have any questions, I've been growing lupines for years and have learned alot by experience.
