Dover Hydraulilc valve assembly

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

Does anyone know where I can find a hydraulic 60,000 series valve for a 4 stop Dover Hydro elevator? I have been told that the valves are obsolete and that the replacement parts are no longer available.

That valve is obsolete. We've been replacing them with Maxtons.

Dear Sir, Replcament valves may be found via Linden Specialist in California. They rebuild many currently obsolete valves. You best resolution is to upgrade teh existing valve to a newer style and model. Yes Blaine, EECO, MAxton adn Dover all have solidly constructed valves. Dover (ThyssenKrupp Elevator) being the only supplier of a cast steel valve as opposed to the commonly provided aluminum offerd by others. A valve replacemetn can run you anywhere from 3500.00 to 7500.00 dependent upon who who use for the replacement and which valve you purchase. For my money I place stock in the Dover valve. I have repaired, sold and installed all of the above and for operation vs cost the Dover I-2 series has served me well. Good Luck.
