greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Hello anyone out there have information on the Deva model. I am thinking of buying a 1966 model and can't find any information on it-especially value. Any help would be appreciated-Thanks, Stephen.

I don't know if MV AGUSTA in Italy made this bike; but the Deva model is one of the models that were made in Spain in that period (at least, Deva is a little town 20 km from were I live).

You can check it on http://www.terra.es/personal2/jose.olalla/agustaes.htm

There is not a lot of information on that page, but at least you can see a picture.

If you don't need very fast answer, I could try to find information about this model, and try to know the average price of the bike.

I don't know anything about a 235 deva, but i found out there was a 235 tevere. It was build in 1959-1960, it was a single cilinder 4 stroke, 235 cc. Did MV build bikes in Spain? i know Ducati once did under the name ; Mototrans-Ducati. But it seems very unlikely to me that MV once produced motorcycles in Spain.

Yes, they produced MV AGUSTA in Spain. You can check it on http://www.terra.es/personal2/jose.olalla/agustaes.htm.

There were three periods:

MV ALPHA, 1949/1951, with a 98 and 125 two stroke

MV AVELLO, 1951/1955, with several 125 and 150 two strokes

MV AGUSTA, 1956/1973, with more bikes. In 1962 appeared the DT235, that changed to Deva 235 in 1966.

Regards from Spain

Yes, the 235 Deva is the Spanish version of the Italian 235 Tevere. As it is for the Italian model, "Deva" is the name of a river in Asturias, the region where the Spanish MV were made. Other MV bikes in Spain were named as Asturian rivers: Sella, Piles, Nalon and Narcea. 3.600 MV 235 were manufactured in Spain, and about 2.500 of them were Devas. An A1 Deva could cost about 2.000 euros.
