I don't have any answer for you re: a part-time nanny, however I would like to recommend a better forum for your question. The Virginia-Highland/Morninside Parents Association fields questions like this all of the time. At the present time, the VHMPA has over 200 families on the membership rolls, and members use an e-mail distribution list to post messages that relate to parenting issues.

If you are interested in joining the VHMPA, just send an e-mail to VHMPA@yahoo.com. Add your address to the message, and the membership director will send you an enrollment packet. By the way, the annual dues are only $10, so it's a great deal!
