Greatest Railroad Ever In San Francisco and Hardly Any Photos

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

In the 1920s, a fantastic railroad called the Old Shoreline ran from San Francisco right on the coastal cliffs nearly down to Santa Cruz. There are a few photos of the train from the outside but I have never seen any photos of what it looked like inside. And I always think about what such a ride must have been like at sunset and wish I could have seen photos of it. Why aren't there more photos of it.

Are you talking about the Ocean Shore line? Maybe that's different... How many places have you checked?

Yes, that's it, but in my hayday we used to call it the Old Shoreline.

I found a site on that but can't remember what it was...
