This is for those unfortunate few who have experienced repossession. It's not a buy and sell cheap houses. Please read the subject area properly beforeposting questions.

No offence but this is for people who have suffered a great deal by losing their homes usually because their ex partner is the village idiot.

I am very keen to try and buy a home quite soon,and I know what it feels like to have one's home taken away 'repossesed'. In fact my home was repossessed in the 1990's. It let me homeless with 3 very young children and a 'village idiot'who never paid the mortgage I would give him the money and that was the last I would see of it. May be I was the idiot!!!! Iwould very much like to buy now some 10 years on How can this be done? Any ideas out there. Many thanks Liza.

If you were the subject of a repo as you say and the bank/building society have not contacted you for 6 years and are Member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders then go the normal route and visit your local Estate Agents the same as everybody else does.

If however they have contacted and are chasing I would advise strongly against purchasing any property as the lender is obviously more likely to chase you if they have the chance of placing a charge on your property.
