how to make one vcd with multiple small files act as one

Is there a way to make one vcd with several smaller files or do I have to actually merge all of the files into one and then burn it? I would like to make a vcd with several small movies and have it act like one large movie. Am I making sense?

I think I understand what you are asking. If not, try asking again. Anyway, let's say you have 4 different movies and each is 10 minutes long, so you know they will fit on a CD-R. You want to know if you must combine all 4 movies into one file or can each movie be a separate file and play continuously. You do not have to combine them into one file. Each movie can be its own file and they will play one after another. However, if they are in separate files, there will be a slight delay as you change from one film to the next and the only way to eliminate this is to combine them into one file using an MPEG-1 editor.

If you are trying to say that you want to join all your mpeg files into one file only, I am sure you can do that.

Try using Camel's Mpeg Join located at http://trdivx.topcities.com/yazilim/camel.htm

This program works good providing that your file is mpeg file. In case your file is dat file, you must convert the file from dat to mpeg file before you can join them together. Use VCDgear program for this problem.

Hope It helps.

Actually, you can burn these files using Nero. Find the section that determines the delay time in between tracks (I think the default time is 5 seconds). Set it to 0 (zero). Burn your VCD. Your vcd will play with no gaps inbetween tracks.

Right - but if you have say more than 99 small mpeg movies - then combining a few and then burning is the only way..... All vcd programs including NERO can only burn up to 99 movies per compilation... - Cheers
