2003 models question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

hi, anyone know what the 2003 f4s looks like, is it changed? I thought the 2003's had the #1 on the side and the red white and green on the tail but the dealer said that was a special version and that the 2003 colors and wheels remain unchanged. Anyone know, Thanks!

I think what you are describing is the "Ago" model, which I thought was going to be a special model. I would imagine the standard bikes are going to have similar color schemes. Do we have concrete prices and availability on the 2003's yet? Seems with the factory underwater that might cause a problem. I'd like to see what they want for an Ago or SPR though.

Back in March, I asked my local dealer how much the MV models would be and he said $18K USD for the Strada, $22K for the SPR, and $25K for the Senna. I don't know if MV's current conditions mean they will raise the prices though.

Eric, I don't think there is going to be any difference between 2002 and 2003...unless the Cagiva's financials = a price increase. In that event, I think a few dealers still have a few 2002 F4S and Senna in their showrooms.

Has anyone heard on when the 2003 will arrive?

I think the wheels on the 2003 are silver for the base model.

Hi Eric, have a look at http://www.northtexasaudigroup.com/gallery/ . Under "Intermot 02" you can find my photos of the exhibition. I noticed that the wheels are silver, the motor is silver painted now and the front fork is from marzocchi now. The design of the spr is a little bit changed. But I don´t like that. Much fun. --- ANDRE

Andre I checked out your 'swiss trip' that smashed up senna was painful to just scroll through. How did it happen? Did it over shoot the bend? How was the pilot?

I was just about to say the same thing. Whoever crashed the Senna should be spanked and sent to his/her room! So now there are 299 of them in existence...

The Intermot show may have answered my question about what OEM tire MV will use in the future. One of the bikes is using the Metzeler Sportec. That's interesting to me.

hello André, thx for posting pictures of Intermot '02. I spent an evening looking them. Are all the pictures made with Ixus dig. camera? Nice job you did. About Swiss tour, do you know if there is a '03 tour scheduled? Yours kindly, Kris

don't mind the prices on the dutch MV-website. Prices in the Netherlands are extremely high, and they are no reference for the prices elsewhere !! F4S in Belgium costs +/- 18 000 € 21%VAT incl. Kris
