There is a program called Total Recorder that records ALL sound coming from your sound card. I'm not sure where to get ahold of this program, but do a search for it; its out there somewhere. This will only work for audio. For example, it will record audio that is being streamed over the Internet, allowing you to save as a WAV file. I'm not too sure about recording video like this, but I do know that there are programs that record all screen activity and let you save this activity as an AVI file. Let me know how you get off.
