Athearn F Units

Wondering if anyone who has seen the new Athearn Genesis F Units in the purple and silver scheme could comment on how authentic and close to accurate they might be. If you haven't seen them here is a link to the Walthers web site with a picture.

I picked up an AB set a couple of weeks ago. Got to look at them about 10 minutes before I had to give them to the "boss lady" so she can put them under the Christmas tree. (I still believe in Santa) What little I did see looked good. If I had been a little faster, I could have given her the empty boxes, and run the loco's down at the club :^).

I saw them at the Allentown train show. They are great. They unfortunately were a little steep price wise. Someone on ebay has been trying to sell a set for $175.00. Wait a few months and you should be able to do better than that. They are the best F3's I have seen in HO scale for the ACL. I think the engine comes in two road numbers.
