Which psychologist thought that humans where basically good, only corrupted by bad experience in life?

Answers

I think many did, and many still do as well. The question 'Are humans basically good or evil?' is one that is not very simple to answer. Discussions about it pervade sociobiology and evolutionary thinking. But to answer you question: it is, in any case, not Thomas Hobbes, who had a completely opposite point of view.

In a more general way, this would be characteristic of humanistic psychology. You might read an article on that in a textbook or encyclopedia for suggestions about people who held such a view.
