The power of Song

Maybe it's something lacking in the music of today that makes everyone so complacent. This is a song that represents an era when people seemed to think freedom was a priority worth putting time into preserving . I saw Paul Kantner perform 10 years ago .I walk up to the stage in the small Carefree theatre and asked him to play an old time favorite.

He said , " I have a better one you'll like .It was a highly political song about the disillusions of the American Dream. Paul is still a political activist throught the lyrics of his songs. His old band " The Jefferson Airplane " has been under FBI surveillance since the mid 1960's.
