I've actually considered making magnets with love quotes (or just some of my favorite quotes in general or, hell, random poetry excerpt) on them for my wedding favors, if I ever find the time to make them. So, yay! Great minds think alike! Here are just a few I have collected. Wait, crap, I can't find my list. Okay, so, here are some others. And congratulations!

This is from that "Love is patient" passage from Corinthians, but it's rarely used and it's my favorite line: "For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away."

From Jane Eyre: "My bride is here, because my equal is here, and my likeness."

From Les Miserables (the musical): "To love another person is to see the face of God."

Um, I suspect these are more for comic relief than practical use. But I couldn't resist.

"After all, in moments of quiet, I'm strangely drawn toward you. But, well, there haven't been any quiet moments." (Bringing Up Baby, 1938)

"Love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and die." (Moonstruck, 1987)

You girls are the BEST! Thank you all so much for loaning me your favorite quotes. It has been a tremendous help (and Stephen sends a special thank you for the pi quote...that one is going to all his uber geek/computer/math/science friends for their magnets!). I've got some great ones (and yes, Jette, we're sarcastic enough to use those quotes! And Melissa...how could I forget Jane Eyre?!?) for our magnets.

Like Eliza, now I just have to make them. A side note, especially for you, Eliza...you can get the perforated, business card magnets at places like Office Depot, Office Max, Staples. It's a bit pricey, though. If you're trying to do things on the cheap, like me, you can use your publishing program at work to make the business card sized magnets (use heavier stock or use the lamenating machine at work to make them sturdy) and then buy sheets of magnetic paper at craft stores like Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Peel and stick for a LOT less! Legal note: I would never condone bogarting office equipment, supplies or company time to work on wedding business. Oh no, not me. No way. Ahem.

Please know I will be running back to you all with any and all wedding drama...and questions...oh so many questions! I'm thinking running off to get married might be preferable to the enormous Catholic shindig I'm undertaking. Can I get an amen, Eliza?

Thanks again to you all. You're dear, dear women!
