Armor prodcuts

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

Hello I am not an elevator professional but they are a big hobby of mine. Im staying at a hotel and the elevator has no marking as to what brand it is. I have reason to beleive that it is an Armor machine, however I have never before seen a hydraulic Armor elevator. Did Armor ever manufacture hydraulic (oidraulic) products? Or did they stick to traction only? Thank you for any responce.

I'm not sure if ARMOR ever made hydraulic elevators in their own plants, but I'm sure they installed them. They also bought out a company called Elevator Electric who made hydraulic elevators. Ultimately, ARMOR was purchased by KONE of Finland.
