He must be busy, Helen! He hasn't been to Unk's and he only popped in briefly here. Maybe he did a drop in from the road. Or maybe he's got another postcard percolating and he needs to let it brew a bit. Or maybe he's just abandoned us and doesn't love us any more :-(

Lon abandoning us? Say it ain't so! Not likely dear hearts! Hang in there, he will be back!

And what, dear heart, ever gave you the impression that I loved youse guys in the first place?

My goody-goddy twin, (who is becoming more and more like me daily) has been on the road with Kit. October is his busy month anyhow, and with the hurricanes ruining the first week, he was kinda rushed. But the rumor down on the bayou is, that he's back now, so I would imagine he'll be along shortly.

He'll prolly say how nice you all are to worry about him, and how wonderful Helen's new story is, and my, but don't we look pretty tonight?

(retch)

But don't you never worry about me, no sir. 'Cause I don't need ya. I don't need no milk of human kindness, no cookies of compassion. I don't need no steamy afternoons, making hot fudge with Aunt Bee, no walk thru the winter wonderland with Trish-the-dish, no trip to see the Wizard with Carol! An', an', I still don't need to be held in the firm immensity of helen's busom, neither.

So, just don't worry about ol' Lon Frankenstein. I get by just fine by myself. I got lot's of friends down in the swamp. Lot's. None of 'em human, of course, except for that pale girl what comes by at night sometimes, but I'm not so sure she's actually alive.

Anyhow, I'd stay and tell you some more about how good I'm doin' without you, but I gotta go get my bolts tightened.

Hey Mr. F. you sure got me sussed. I can't make fudge, I'm no dish and I certainly don't have an immense busom firm or otherwise, just an old witch from down south. Don't go over-tightening those bolts now (you know swamp water, rust etc., yikes!). I hope your twin has lots of stories to tell and Kit is still enjoying his music. Cheers.
