They took the snow flurries out of our forecast. Darn!! Oh well, it's probably for the best, I turned on the furnace this morning and nothing happened. I know I had propane, they had just filled the tank 3 wks ago. Called the repair place, they came & found that the circuit board is bad. Now for the worst part, the furnace isn't one that's installed in many places around so they have to order a new board and it won't be here until Weds at the earliest but according to the repairman it could be up to 2 wks. :(

This furnace is fairly new, we had it put in just about 2 yrs ago, I thought those parts lasted longer than that. It will cost about $300. with the service call, labor and parts. I sure wish we had that woodstove chimney lined so I could fire it up but we'd planned on putting it in on Nov 16 when Tom comes home. He couldn't get here this weekend since his furnace went out too, but luckily his was just a clogged burner. So I'm pretty bundled up, it's supposed to get to 27 tonight and I have no backup heat source; I'm Ok but the cat is looking a little unhappy. LOL!!! Enjoy the snow and the nice wood fire.

make sure you check the warrenty on the furnace yourself,,, dont rely on the furnace company to do it correctly, ,you may be within a month or so of it being under warrenty, besides,, an Irrate phone call to the company,, may at least save you the cost of the part

Hey, I know where my snow shovel is! We've had snow 3 times on my side of the lake. Other than when swimming, I've never been so wet as I was last Thursday while deer hunting. Wet snow ended and then the snow on the trees began melting. But it's all much needed water here after such a drought summer. A month ago, watering the remaining garden when the hose gurgled and went dry. Water table had dropped below the pump. 1988 was the last time that happened. So, I welcome every drop of rain and snowflake that falls now even if I have to get out the shovel.
