Hi, i need a *freeware* programs to do the following: Rip DVD - i'm using DVD2AVI for this convert d2v file to avi - have probs here :( convert avi to mpeg - know anything? convert mpeg to vcd/svcd - big probs here, can't find any freeware commandline progs that do this :'( HELLLLLPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

Why not try DVD2SVCD? It's freeware. Go to http://dvd2svcd.doom9.net for more info. Some people like DVDX, but you'll have to do a web search to find it as the only place I know that has it charges for access.

try eazyvcd it works the easiest to do a dvd rip it will walk you right through it , ooh by the way you should pick xvcd and use at least two cdr 80 min each
