I would like to know what can be done to tighten the knee after it twisted away from my lower leg when playing football. I turned with the weight on my left leg but my studs stopped the lower leg from turning a lowd clunk and i had no stability when walking for a few hours. It gets better but still any lateral movement and it feels that it will give way. What can I do to tighten the knee joint??

It sounds like you slightly dislocated your knee joint. The reason it feels unstable is that the ligaments are likely to have been stretched and the bones are not held as tightly together as they were before. It would be a good idea to see a doctor as you may need your ligaments tightened, which involves them literally being tied in a knot, which makes them shorter again. Hope this helps.
