Hi,

I want some more information/concept on bitmap indexes.

e.g.

1. I have 2 K rows in table 2. One column Sex with only 2 values M and F

I know oracle creates bitmap for above values which directly points to rows.

How oracle creates bitmap for each row ?

how many bits will be required , so that they can point to only one row in table ?
