New design for MCU website

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MCU - Accessible Web Design : One Thread

Well here it is - the new look for the Making Connections Unit website. The re-organisation of everything on the site is not finished yet - but none of the old links are broken - and nothing has been lost in the process.

The layout and presentation are all done using CSS; not a layout table in sight. But that means it might look a bit funny in browsers with less than perfect CSS support. If it does, please tell me about it - including the browser and platform you are using.

Hope you like it - get in touch with your thoughts.

Well I have to say first impresssions are good, I like the design.

A few things seem to be a bit broken, for example on http://www.mcu.org.uk/articles/cssaccessproblems.html the examples given don't really work, ie the css styling for the "bad" example doesn't appear to be doing anything.

Ben,

You are right - thanks for pointing it out to me. I have a new style sheet , and had failed to notice that my examples on this page rely on declartions in the old style sheet. I have fixed it. Any other bits broken that you noticed?

Thanks, Jim
