Abbey National/Solicitors -Time Limit for Destroying Recordsble to Noslsl

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

I have been told by the Abbey that they either don't have, didn't keep, didn't retain or disposeed of various information I have asked for. Even their Solicitors and Estate Agents are giving the same answers.

Surely, like receipts for tax purposes they have to keep them for a certain length of time. Or are they a Law unto themselves (think we all know the answer to that mind you!).

Does anyone know if there are set time limits for destroying/disposing of conveyancing info etc.

What are the documents in relation too? I feel if they cannot (and do not have proof) it will make it difficult for them to prove what ever that evidence relies on?
