fuel cells

greenspun.com : LUSENET : CountrySide Family : One Thread

Tonight at 8:00 pm Eastern time on MSNBC on Donahue's show, an expert on fuel cells is going to be interviewed. I don't care for Donahue's interviewing style, but will catch this one tonight. Thought you all might want to tune in.

Don't have TV, but Coleman (same one that makes coleman stoves and lanterns) was suppose to have a portable home fuel cell up and running a while back, think it was to run on hydrogen, an article in Popular Science. There have been some units that run on propane that have been in use, for a few years, in some of the Scandinavian countries.

Maybe it will be on the website tomorrow and I can read about it.

There is a new chip that can turn heat into electricity, that is suppose to be economical and being tested in a MIT research lab, if you are interested in this type of stuff. http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99991862

Well $#@$, the show's not about fuel cells. I could have sworn they said tonight, guess I'll check it tomorrow. Sorry.

I've read some on fuel cells and was looking forward to hopefully learning more. Maybe tomorrow?
