what tripod to buy?

I am very new in Photography...and would like to seek some advise on what type of tripod to buy, which is not very expensive and realiable. Maybe something that can hold a video cam and SLR camera too.. thank you

I've been using 2 different Cullmann tripods for the last few years and I find them excellent, definitelly the best price/performance ratio for semi-pro and prosumer photography. For some more serious professional photography I would suggest either Gitzo or Manfrotto ones, but expect to pay a prime dollar for one of these.

i am currently using this velbon mountain chaser being using this for around 3 yrs plus already still looking good and no problem with it so i hope that u can consider it
