while going thru some of the "stuff" I got free the other day,, I found 2, TWO fence chargers. I couldnt beg borrow or steal 1 (one) 3 weeks ago, now I own 2.

One of them,, is a battery type, not solar, but I beilve I have to take a battery to it, and recharge it once in awhile. Im thinking, I can bring a solar panel with it, to recharge the battery. Does this souond feasible? Has anyone done this? what do you think about these battery chargers?

I beleive those type take a 6 volt battery and you can hook a small solar panel to it for a trickle charger. They are handy and good for remote areas, excellent for homesteaders off grid.

We had a 6 v fencer for years. It ate about 2 $10 batteries per year so I'm not sure it was worth the fuss/cost to rig a charger.
