Is there actually going to be an F5 for 2003?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

With the SPR barely out, I'm thinking no for 2003 and maybe 2004 if their lucky.

They may anounce it and then you have to wait untill it will be available in some years!

With the Brutale and SPR projects still waiting, and with MV sales still strong (I think), it may be a year or two until we see the F5's releases and two to three years until it's actually in the show rooms.

Personally, I'd like to see the funding issues with Cagiva-MV Augusta resolved before the F5 makes its debute. I'd rather wait a few more years for Cagiva to clean up it's finaces, the liter class competiton to show their hands, and then for Cagiva to respond to the former before putting out a F5 that a bit behind, has shoody quality, and difficult to get parts for.

I agree with what Allan said. I would rather wait until the finances are in order so that the F5 will be not just on par but ahead of the competition. Besides, I need a few years to save up enough money so I don't have to sell the F4 just to get the F5.

The MV F5 will NOT be appearing in 2003. A deal has just been struck with an italian bank for funding. Anyway after seeing the new Ducati 999 Tamburini is understood to have gone back to the drawing board as the F5 was meant to have stacked lamps! Still with a rumored 180hp it will be worth the wait- just in time for 2004 WSB!
