Hello! I am in the process of gathering data, advice, ideas, and even donations in preparation to submit a grant proposal. I have an idea that I would like see become reality. I would like to submit a grant proposal to start a project that educates and trains people in the ag industry. In addition, I would like to have a community garden/food bank, cropland, a small swine farm or acreage with buildings suitable for my purposes, an education and referal center, and also to get the word out to local farmers encouraging them to start community farms that would provide fresh produce, meat, and dairy products to people in need. I am really bothered by the fact that there is so much hunger and poverty in this country, and I can't sit idly by and do nothing. I won't turn my head and pretend the problem doesn't exist, because it does, and the issues people face are very real, and I want to help! My questions are: Where should I post to get this message out to as many people in a position to help as possible? Other than a website (which I currently can't afford to do) what other options do I have(inexpensive or free) for getting my message out there? If you have any ideas, advice, or donations could you let me know? I am need of land, livestock, seeds, draft horses, equipment, veterinary supplies,web site, office supplies, training manuals, funding, etc....Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
