Light Meal Preparation

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Doula.Com General Discussion : One Thread

Hello! I'm sure this is going to sound like a silly question, but I'm preparing to begin my postpartum doula training process. I've read that part of the responsibilities are preparing simple meals. This is no problem for me as I love to cook, but I'm curious about how it works. Do you bring the meals ingredients with you? Use what they have?

Thanks so much for your help with my silly question! Daphne

Daphne, I always use what my clients have at their home. that way, I am sure to fix something they like [since they bought it!] and I won't fix something that they may be allergic to. The only time I bring stuff is if there looks like there is a financial problem in the home. And I'll purchase some basic groceries so they have some.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!
