I am interested in the history of consumer psychology ( a very short one I would assume.) Does anyone know of any names or resources in this area? thanks in advance

Not as short as you might think. Consumer psychology is division 23 of APA, which makes it one of the older divisions. Check their website at http://fisher.osu.edu/marketing/scp/ and the journal which you'll also find there. I don't think Division 23 has a chapter in Don Dewsbury's series of divisional histories, but you should be able to find a short history in an encyclopedia of psychology.
