Backup to CD RW

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Anders Petersson's Freeware Forum : One Thread

Hi, I have downloaded your software and like the look and ease of use which it gives. I have installed the latest version 2.0.21 but am having a problem completing backups to my cdrw (Liteon 40x12x48).

The backup starts ok but I get an error message saying eg. E:\\BKPNOW (BKPNOW is a folder on my C: drive) could not be created, I then get the same error message for every folder in the backup set. When I go into the CDrom the folders have in fact been created but are empty, If I run the same backup set again I get the same errors but still get empty folders. Any idea what the problem might be. ?

I use WIn ME3 and have Direct cd installed (easy CD works fine)

I like the look of your program and would like to use it for my regular backup procedures as it is really neat.

Thanks for your help

cheers

Hey David.

Try to create a folder on the CD and backup to that folder instead of the root directory ("E:\Foldername" instead of "E:\"). Should do the trick.
