Sony DVP-NS400 support

I can't get an Imation brand burned video cd to play in my Sony DVP-NS400 player. It won't read the disc at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Burn it to CD-RW. Some Sony models don't support CD-R at all, but CD-RW discs work on these players. Prime Peripherals brand CD-R are the only brand known to work on Sonys that don't officially support CD-R, but you'll have to go in person to an Office Max to buy them.

a couple of things to make sure of:

-make sure to UNcheck the CDI & STANDARD boxes under the VCD tab! -make sure that you are burning a NON-STANDARD VCD! -make sure that the mpeg file you are trying to burn is VCD Compatible! -make sure that you burn at 2X Speed and not any higher!!!

I have a sony dvp-405 and I play cdr, cdrw vcds without any trouble, I use nero to burn them.
