I think it came back up a little after 7 pm , good thing cause my goats were getting tired of listening to my ramblings.

That's 7pm EST , I forget we're in different time zones

......Steve, what did you say to them?! I've found that goats don't usually mind the odd deep thought, they seem quite accepting in fact! ;-)......they really loathe a feeding schedule change, however.

It's not what I say to them that tires them , it's the quantity and lenght of speech that gets them sleepy. At least I'm finally coming to the realization that 50% of my caloric intake is being burnt up through extensive jaw movements. I'm also starting to wonder if my goats know I'm trying to communicate to them when I speak or do they just think I make a lot of noise when I chew my cud.

hehehehehehe...;-)

Here I thought singing and dancing to them was responsible for lowering milk production! Mayhap you are gonna be the new Richard Simmons.....ewew. No wait, "Goat Whisperer...." the newest best seller, 'a spiritual quest', mind you. Mel Gibson could play the lead in the upcoming flick. Nono, that brings to mind, "Dances with goats"....that wouldn't be Mel, of course. Maybe a combo? A verbal cleansing....enlightenment AND weight reduction, yeah, I think it could be done.

"Dances with Goats" ? That reminds me ,If you've ever watched the movie Woodstock , while Carlos Santana and his band are playing the song Soul Sacrifice , in the audience is a hippy homesteader from the commune in Oregon called The Hog Farm and he's dancing with a sheep .This guy travels 3,000 miles in a school bus from Oregon to New York and brings his sheep with him to a concert . I think it's long over due for an article in Psychology Today with a title , " What makes people who socialize with farm animals tick ". I'm sure this forum alone will supply enough people for the study and the data

A sheep, huh? :-/ That's just.....wrong. I'm not saying another word, not one. Wouldn't be prudent.

I don't know how I always seem to leave myself vulnerable to having my words misunderstood to have a meaning far from my intentions ? Now I'm blushing . I'm sure there was a mrs. hippy and their cute little hippy babies .I guess eveyone hears the movie Woodstock and they think of the skinny dipping part. This guy had his cloths on (for the record )and it was more like square dancing , not dirty dancing. That darn Deliverance movie with Burt Reynolds , has really given us Tennesseians a bad rap.

Aw Steve, I was just teasin' ya. But seriously, you talk about a guy from "hog farm", traveling 3000 miles with his sheep to Woodstock. Then he dances with it. Oh, I'm tellin' ya, you left yourself wiiiiiiiiiiide open for that one! LOL

Deliverance.....I should rent that movie. Trivia, I've never seen it.
