David, where are you in W.TN? My husband is living in Denmark,TN about 10 miles from Jackson. He got transferred down there 1 yr ago & I'm still in KY. As for the sale, I've never gone but I've heard that some of the best finds are south of Liberty,KY. Can't tell you where thats at but thought I'd pass in on. When is the sale? If it's on when it's cooler I might try to go but not while it's this hot!

I live in Atwood, 5 miles from Milam,25 min's from Jackson.127 yard sale starts Aug.15 thru 18 . Lot's of land for sale in this area!!! Good buys if you look around. We own an operate a small Seed,Plant,Produce Store, seasonal, in Atwood.

this is reguarding 2003 sale it's going to be longer. Can only go for 4 days when would be the best time to start and go. Most dealers used to pack up on Sun.

I would like to know if the sales are better above lookout mountain or below. I do not think I have a big enough truck to travel the entire link...smile. This is my first time so any help will be appreciated. Also are there really good bargains or is this gotten to be really a commercial thing. Last year, we found the most fun and "stuff" up on Signal Mountain, SE from Dunlap, TN. But the traffic was a killer! Dunlap's flea market is jammed full this year (August 1st) and all along Hwy 127 north from Dunlap to Pikeville the vendors have set up. With the extended time this year, there ought to be lots of great bargins. We live in the Sequatchie Valley, just north of Dunlap and plan to head out tomorrow for a few days to shop the leg from here to the KY border.
