David, I use a wringer washer. It started out as a washer in the garage to wash barn clothes with. I now use it for everything. I think it cleans so much better than a regular washer. Joanie

Contact Lehman brothers Hardware in Kidron, Ohio (near Wooster). They stock all non-electric appliciances for sale tot the amish. You can even buy a gasoline powered iron is you need one. Call them at 330 857 5757. You can even get gasoline driven washers, oil lamps etc. Its like a museum.
