woke up at 630,, hot and humid,,, took a quick shower before going outside adn do some morning chores. The sky looked angry,,, the air felt quiet,,, was a feeling of tenseness. So I put the buckets under the eaves,, made sure the downspout was directed to the barrell, any spare container was opened and ready,, rolled up the windows in my truck. Half hour later,,, it started,,, all that pent up frusteration finally let loose,,, and we got RAIN,, , hard, heavy,, needed Badly. Rolling thunder, a freindly sound this time,, some close hits of lightening,, (made sure the comp was disconnected), STarted the fire pit, in the heavy rain, burn pile was getting too large,, for awhile I didnt think it would catch, trying to beat the rain,, it finally took off,,, old pine logs caught, and really let loose. Seems everythign wanted the rain.

Glad to hear you finally got some relief. We've been getting rain at least once a week. Last weeks storm did manage to include some damage, lightening hit a cedar tree and it followed in somehow & fried all my phones, caller ID box & some flourescent lights. At least I was home and got the computer & the central AC disconnected. We've had the rain come in waves with so much in such a short time that it runs off, the last rain washed out a good chunk of my road. My pond is overflowing but I'm not complaining after hearing how dry it is everywhere else. This is sure an odd weather year. Makes you wonder what winter will be like.

We have had three weeks of sporatic rain and constant overcast days, more rain than has been seen here in 20(+) yrs, almost forget it is a desert, think that it may be all the forest fires somewhat close to us that may be responsible for our weather, though no firm evidence of that. Just keep sitting back and wondering at all this water and cool days, unbelieve able.:)
