Idiots, Idiots, Idiots!!!

Everyone is in all a tizzy about how corporate America operates its accounting dept's, how all the little people are getting screwed and how the Republicons and the Democraps are the ones to blame, WHAT HORSESHIT!!!

The biggest book cooker in the world is the U.S government, which includes both of the afore mentioned politcal den of thieves. It seems to me before any of those clowns start enacting laws upon corporate America they should first regulate their own skewed version of accounting, where the little people really take the poundings.

Are all of you that are card carrying members of these parties so brainwashed you can't really see the ludicrousness of the politicians slingin' shit on this topic? Maybe you are that stupid.

Rant off.

Capnfun,

Excellent point!

When social security was sneaked into the mix, basically added to the national debt to make it look like we were in less debt than we really were, the door was opened to the government dipping into it for other uses.

Since the stock market is tanking, even the hope of some financial help from social security is diminishing because it has been plundered.

Looks like old folks are going to be in soup lines and putting newspaper in their shoes and eating dog food again.

What is left for those close to retirement, not to mention those already retired and depending on the income from CD's and IRA's and retirement funds they built up for 5 decades?

Are we having fun yet? Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?

"Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago? "

Financially, no. Healthwise, no. Psychologically/spiritually, yes.

Go figure.

Small Rant:

I am amazed at how little people know about the operation of the government. They think that the Congress passes a law, the President signs it; and that is it. Doesn't work that way. It then goes to the appropriate agency; they decide what the law means.

I spent 18 h in a meeting explaining the Bioterrorist Act of 2001 [now renamed 2002]. Under this, I have to provide individual reports on the appropriate people from a possible group of 20,000. The forms for the reports will be out next week and the reports are due at the DOJ by Sep 10. Who are the appropriate people and how do I identify them? Well, that information is not required to be provided before 31 Dec 02.

Rant off.

Best Wishes,,,,,

Z
