Haight and (H)Ashbury which was, thanks to the drug culture, had the highest crime rate in the city during the late sixties.

peace and love are almost nonexistant when living in a scociety bassed on war but you should still fight for what you belive in no matter what

Hey, I agreed with them in principle and I'm all for peace and love providing people are conscious of their being and what they are doing. Most of that 60s crowd then were not. Most of them were reduced to the mind of an INSECT which means during their trips they had no consciousness whatsoever. Therefore, peace and love and crime and the responsibility for their actions meant nothing to them because they weren't even aware of it or anything else for that matter.

i'm all with the hippie movement, except for two things - the joints and the smell. i love the long hair... if its clean. and if you are not in your right mind i dont think you can preach about peace and love. oh, and the street is like haight - ashbury or something like that, in san francisco. so, as john lennon said, "make love, not war", and goodbye. - teni kins - peace. love. harmony. smile!
