What really scares me about the MV is getting rear ended and not seeing it happen (or not being able to do anything about it).

Does anyone have any idea on how to solve the crappy mirror problem? I'm thinking of getting those ugly, hidious stick-on mirrors because I'm starting to get really neverous about this.

Does anyone have one of those stick-on mirros on their MV? Does it work?

At stoplights, I'm flashing my break lights and shifting my arm to see behind me but it's akward.

If anyone has the resources and the skills, I propose developing a rear-mounted carrera system underneath the tail section that leads up to a small monitor mounted in one of the MV's mirror housings. If you make it adaptable to other bikes, you could makes some money!! Just give me a free sample as payment for the idea. :)

I had alloy spacers made at a local race enginers shop,that fits inbetween the mirror and the front fairing and brings the mirrors out just short of an inch,they look like they were factory made and cost me £40.Any good machine shop should be able to do it.You need to strip the mirror and take both mirror and gaskit to them explaining what you want,easy.

I used those ugly convex mirror. It did not help, worst the little I could see, was the space used by those add-on. Now I could see a wider angle, but it was so small, it was worst. I ended to remove it. I try to cut a bigger convex mirror, in the shape of the shell, to fill the all space, but I kept on braking the mirror. So I gave up.

I may try latter the spacer trick. I was concern about the length of the wiring harness, but I guess it work.

Allan, I've gotten so good at contorting around to see in the mirrors that I guess I don't notice it anymore. If I lift my arm up and kind of kink my neck, I can see in the mirror just fine! No problem right?

Pretty much same as Andy. Depending on what jacket I'm wearing, I either look under my arm, or around the outside. Bottom line,I've learned to live with it.

Well, I was wondering if the little convex mirror would work, but looks like it doesn't work too well.

I'll look into the idea of extending the mirrors outward.

Currently, I'm also using the twisted left elbow trick. What I found works is to move the left mirror inward so it shows more of the gas tank and my elbow, and my moving my elbow, I can see the back a bit better. So basically, I've use the left mirror as rear view mirror, and use the right mirror for the right side, and just keep better track on who's on my left.
