Looking for Balsam Gourd/Squash Seeds

Have been looking for several years for a variety of gourd/squash that my grandparents grew that they called Balsam Squash. When it was nearly ripe they would pick it, cut it into pieces and add whiskey to it to use as a poltice for cuts/sores. Whenever it was used, no one ever have an infection or scar from their injury. They grew them from the early 1040's until their deaths in the early 1970's. The fruit was golden/yellowish with wrinkle/warted skin and they were about 6-8 inches long. Does anyone know the true name of this and/or where it can get some seeds. Willing to trade heirloom yellow cherry tomato seeds from the 1940's (have had plants from the original plants since that time) for the seeds I am looking for. Thank you.
